Description

Myofascial Release is a gentle, hands-on technique that works with your body's fascia—the connective tissue that wraps around your muscles, bones, and organs like a supportive web. When this tissue becomes tight or restricted, it can contribute to pain, limited mobility, and tension patterns throughout your body. Unlike traditional massage, MFR uses sustained, gentle pressure applied directly to your skin (without oils or lotions) to help your fascia naturally release and lengthen. This allows your body to restore balance and improve movement patterns. Your MFR session will feel quite different from a typical massage: • Gentle, sustained touch: Rather than kneading or rubbing, you'll feel steady, comfortable pressure that may feel like a gentle stretch from within • Mindful interaction: You may be invited to breathe deeply or notice sensations in your body as the work progresses • Quiet, focused environment: Sessions tend to be peaceful, allowing you to tune into your body's responses • Lasting effects: Many clients experience improvements in mobility and comfort that continue well beyond the session To ensure the most effective treatment while maintaining your comfort and privacy, please wear: For women: Sports bra and athletic shorts, or a comfortable two-piece swimsuit For men: Athletic shorts or swim shorts This attire allows the therapist to properly assess your posture and access the areas that need attention while respecting appropriate professional boundaries.
